Flow Strength Maine is a fully custom rebuild that focuses directly on the clients, allowing both the business and the client to thrive.
A business paying a monthly fee for a site it could not fully change, rebuilt by hand. It came out faster, better looking, perfectly accessible on both mobile and desktop, and owned outright.
Off a monthly template platform and onto something the owner controls, with no drop in polish and no license to renew. Hosting at this size costs a few dollars a month, and the fee that used to leave every month stays in the business.
The problem
A template platform charging every month for a site that loaded slowly, could not be shaped around what the business actually offers, and put a paywall between the owner and small copy changes.

How we built it
Rebuild, do not re-skin
Every page authored by hand, so the layout follows what the business actually sells instead of bending it to fit a template's idea of what a business looks like. This is the difference between a site that looks like yours and a site that looks like everybody's.
Warm, dark, and photographed on site
A deep charcoal base with a single warm accent, wide type, and full-bleed photography of the real space and the real people. A business that sells atmosphere cannot sell it with stock photography, and it is the first thing a visitor judges.
Accessible by design, not by audit
Colour contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation and semantic structure were settled while building rather than checked afterwards. That is what a perfect accessibility score on both platforms is measuring — and it is also better design for everybody, not a compliance box.
Owned, not rented
Static files on a global network, published from a repository the owner controls. Nothing expires, nothing gets held hostage at renewal time, and changing a price does not require a subscription tier.

The decisions that mattered
Owning the site instead of renting it
Template platforms are a reasonable way to start and an expensive way to stay. The monthly fee never ends, it climbs when you need one more feature, and the ceiling on what you can change is set by somebody else. The rebuild ends all three. Static files on a global network cost a few dollars a month to host, there is no license to renew, and the owner can change anything. Over a few years the difference is not small.
A perfect accessibility score is the floor, and here is what is under it
Automated accessibility scoring covers roughly a third of the standard, and it says so. The parts a machine cannot check were done deliberately: every interactive element reachable by keyboard, focus outlines that survive the dark theme, a working skip link, heading order that reads correctly to a screen reader, and motion that stops for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion. Accessibility is design quality — the same decisions that make a site usable for someone with a screen reader make it clearer for everyone else.
Migrations are routine here, not a special project
Moving off a platform sounds risky and mostly is not, provided the addresses are mapped before the switch rather than after. Every existing page keeps working, search rankings carry over, and the site is live on the new host before the old one is turned off. It is a planned, rehearsed sequence — not a leap.
